i'm not doing homework, i'm cleaning, cooking,....blogging.
2nd year students from my program came in the other day to give our class some advice. One thing we keep hearing from professors and peers is to not let school or clinic become our lives. Make sure you still do things for yourself. I am still doing things for myself (showering, cooking, cleaning, and i still watch movies tout le temps.)
When they said "don't let it become your life", the first thing i thought was:
but that's WHY i came to grad school! I love this stuff. I want to learn everything. I want to be absorbed with my client and work super hard and be totally nerdy all the time. If you knew me during my undergrad, you know i'm a total nerd for my major.
and since i have very little in my life besides school right now, why not make it my life?

Let me speak with about 1 month more experience than you (like that is anything)...as much as you love the major, things can get slightly overwhelming. Dont give up movie night.
