One thing i've noticed about Seattle is that its not a city of concrete. Yes, there is a lot of concrete but it isn't winning. The plants are definitley winning. The sidewalks are overgrown with ivy, grass, little creeping plants and moss. It's fall so there are a lot of fallen leaves which is my favorite. (They don't get very crunchy though i've noticed.) They don't get raked up off the sidewalk, and with all of the foot traffic down by campus the leaves become, what i can only explain as, leaf sand. Munched, crunched, powdered leaves. Its the color of sand too.
oh and i want a pet lizard.
