the 11th of the month

January 11th- lovely lady Emily visited for a whole week of fun.
February 11th- Emma my dearest came to see me whilst I had the flu.
Complete with visit to Muir Woods to see the tall tall trees.

March 11th- I flew to Los Angeles for a needed get away, to see Hill and various other loves.

Landed late Thursday night and enjoyed the traffic with my aunt and uncle, getting in some good bonding time. Early Friday morning I set out for Hillary's hotel. Then we took off in a Kia Rondo (seats SEVEN!), towards the Getty Center. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the Getty immensely. After that we picked up some lunch on the way to the Gamble House. The house was really neat and again a perfect day for this sort of thing, we could enjoy the outdoors but being stuck inside wasn't too stuffy or hot either. Then, almost against my will, I was so tired at this point, we headed off for the Norton Simon museum. Though I'd never heard of this place, it was in fact a wonderful place to visit with many famous and impressive pieces of art.

Hillary's old pal Hanna came and picked us up (all the way from OC) and we went to El Coyote for dinner, which was festive and fun. I finally made it back to my uncles at far too late an hour and in much need of a foot massage.

Saturday was a touch more relaxing. Getty villa by noon, Santa Monica beach and pier for lunch and lounging, then a sad goodbye to Hillary. Then I meandered my way back in my borrowed Toyota Tundra (thank you cousin Kyle), to my old high school friend Gillian's house, there I met with a few other high school friends (Oren, Ashley and Christi). It was so nice to see them all and surprisingly easy to pick up where we had left off even though we've kept in limited touch since graduating.

It was a good night full of Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, Vodka for an Ice Pack, borrowing clothes, Diddy Riese, and Liquid Zoo Karaoke. It was was really nice to see those girls and the best time ever.Sunday I lazed around with the cousin's and watched some good Chris Farley. My freshman roommate Kayla even stopped by since she lives so close to my Uncle. It was the best weekend and I'm so glad I went.
